The Media Gallery is a powerful tool that holds all of the images, files, graphics, and documents for your site. In this section we will go over how to access the Media Library, and how to upload a file or image.
1.) Access the Media Library
To Access the Media Library, click “Media” in the admin toolbar once you are logged in to your site.
2.) Select or Add Folder
To keep your media nice and organized, we suggest keeping files and media in folders. If the item you are uploading goes in one of the existing folders, you may select it at this time. If not you can add a folder.
3.) Upload Item
Now that you are in the right place for your upload you are ready to upload!
You can do this in one of two different ways. You can either drag and drop a file from your computer into the Media Gallery, or click “Select Files” which will open up your computer files.
If you clicked “Select Files”, select the item you wish to upload and click “Open”.
4.) Wait For Item to Upload
Now all that is left is to wait for your item to upload. You will see a progress bar and once it is finished uploading the item will appear in the folder you selected.
Final Notes
- You CAN upload more than one item at a time.
- If you accidentally upload to the wrong folder, you can click and drag to the correct folder.
- We DO NOT recommend uploading large video or audio files. This can cause your site to load very slowly. Instead we suggest uploading your videos to YouTube or Vimeo first and then putting them on your site that way.
